PUDU ET1 AI-Native Compact Scrubber-Dryer Robot

Most scrubber-dryers ask a business to rearrange itself around the machine: wider aisles, a storage corner, a trained operator and a daily cleaning ritual for the cleaner itself. The PUDU ET1 AI-Native Compact Scrubber-Dryer Robot turns that around. It is sized to fit the space you already have and returns to its docking station to look after itself when the job is done.

Background

Pudu Robotics and the new E Series

Pudu Robotics is a maker of service robots, with cleaning machines among its commercial lines. The PUDU ET1 is the first product in the new PUDU E Series. The series is aimed at smaller commercial premises, where a full-format scrubber-dryer is too big and a mop and bucket cannot keep up.

Larger floors are served by other machines in the Pudu range, such as the PUDU BG1 AI-Native Large Scrubber-Dryer Robot. The ET1 is built for a different job: it is made for cleaning areas of 100 to 800 square meters. Typical sites are convenience stores, drugstores, chain restaurants, business and economy hotels, and office spaces.

What AI-native means for a compact cleaner

The ET1 combines sweeping, scrubbing, vacuuming and dust-mopping in a single robot. Its front-sweep, rear-scrub design handles dry debris and wet stains simultaneously, so a floor is cleaner after a single pass instead of needing a sweep first and a scrub afterward.

The intelligence is in the setup and the floor awareness. The robot autonomously maps new environments, with no pre-mapping or complex setup required. Its AI floor and stain recognition detects carpet edges and lifts the scrubbing roller to keep carpets dry. Dedicated Admin and User modes give managers professional configuration, while operators get simplified daily cleaning.

What makes the PUDU ET1 different from a mop and a conventional scrubber?

A mop depends on labor, and the result changes with who is holding it and how tired they are at closing time. A conventional scrubber-dryer is more consistent, but it is usually sized for large open floors. In a small shop, the aisles between shelves, the tables in a restaurant and the corners of a hotel lobby are exactly where such a machine struggles to turn.

The ET1 is built at 500 by 380 by 580 mm, and it needs a minimum clearance of 50 cm in width and 60 cm in height. That lets it work in places that larger machines pass over. Despite the compact body, it cleans with real force: a roller speed of up to 800 rpm, 5000 Pa of downward pressure that maintains constant floor contact, and 20 kPa of suction that recovers dirt and wastewater. The cleaning efficiency is 300 - 720 m²/h.

Grease is the stain that defines food retail, and the ET1 answers it with heat. The docking station fills the robot with 85°C hot water, and onboard heating keeps it hot throughout cleaning to dissolve tough grease and sticky residues. Combined with the roller, this is aimed at grease, footprints and other stubborn stains.

How does the 8-in-1 docking station reduce daily work?

Much of the time a cleaning machine is supposed to save is lost in looking after it. The ET1 is designed so that work is not left to staff. After each task the robot returns to its 8-in-1 docking station for fully automated self-cleaning. The station also supplies the hot water used for scrubbing.

Dry debris is handled in the same spirit. The 2.5 L onboard dustbox enables automatic dust collection after every run, and it needs to be emptied only about once a week. When deeper maintenance is due, the 30-second quick-release cleaning modules allow effortless maintenance and deep cleaning. Charging takes approx. 3 h.

Who is the PUDU ET1 for?

The ET1 suits owners and managers of small commercial premises, particularly in the 100 to 800 square meter range. Convenience stores and drugstores gain consistent floors without tying up staff after closing. Chain restaurants get a machine that deals with grease through hot scrubbing. Business and economy hotels and office spaces can set a routine that the Admin and User modes keep simple for daily operators.

Facility managers who run several sites will value the autonomous mapping, because a new location needs no pre-mapping or complex setup. Brands that want their floor-cleaning robot to be seen can add the optional 21.5 inch HD display for brand promotion, event marketing and dynamic information display.

If your premises are considerably larger, the PUDU BG1 or the PUDU BG1 Pro may suit better. You can compare the wider range in our Cleaning Robots category.

What is the PUDU ET1 used for?

  1. Retail floors: daily cleaning of convenience stores and drugstores, where footprints and spills build up in narrow aisles.
  2. Restaurant kitchens and dining areas: hot scrubbing to deal with grease and sticky residues.
  3. Hotel lobbies and corridors: consistent cleaning for business and economy hotels.
  4. Office spaces: regular sweeping, vacuuming and dust-mopping outside working hours.
  5. Mixed floors with carpet edges: the roller lifts at carpet edges to keep carpets dry.
  6. Branded or informational displays: with the optional 21.5 inch HD display, the robot also carries promotions and information.
