OrionStar LuckiBot
A dining room at the dinner rush asks a lot of the people carrying plates: long walks, tight turns and trays that must arrive in one piece. The OrionStar LuckiBot takes over that carrying work, rolling between kitchen and table on its own while your team stays with the guests.
The product is available through this page, by quotation.
Background
The company behind the robot
LuckiBot is made by Beijing OrionStar technology co., Ltd., a robotics manufacturer whose service robots are built for venues where people eat, stay and shop. The LuckiBot line belongs to the OrionStar family, which you can browse in the OrionStar category.
The line comes in three versions: LuckiBot, LuckiBot Pro and LuckiBot Pro Autodoor. The figures on this page describe the LuckiBot, and we keep them with that version only.
Positioning and key technology
LuckiBot is a restaurant delivery robot. It is a tall, narrow machine finished in pearl white and elegant black, with a touch screen at the front and adjustable trays above a wheeled chassis. It runs OrionStar's customized Robot OS, which is based on Android 9.0.
Three pieces of technology matter most in daily work. First is a dual SLAM solution that lets the robot recognize location markers, so it does not get lost at night. Second is a chassis with a radar sensing system and inertial navigation, which gives balanced movement. Third is a 6-microphone ring array with 360° coverage and 5m effective range for voice pickup.

What makes the OrionStar LuckiBot different from a simple serving cart?
A cart moves only when someone pushes it. LuckiBot decides its own route. Its dual SLAM solution recognizes location markers, and the radar sensing system and inertial navigation in the chassis keep its movement balanced. For a restaurant, that means a trip from the kitchen to a table does not need a staff member walking alongside.
The robot also works as a team player. When several Lucki robots serve the same restaurant and meet at a fork in the road, they avoid each other without human intervention, following the priority of the robot number. A second or third unit therefore does not add traffic jams, and a busy floor can be covered with more than one robot.
Finally, the trays are built for real service. You can set up 3 or 4 adjustable tiers with 0.18㎡ per tier. Each tray carries up to 10 Kg, and the whole robot carries up to 40 Kg. The speed is adjustable from 0.5 to 1.2 m/s, so you can run slowly through a crowded room and faster in a quiet corridor.
How does LuckiBot talk to guests and staff?
The front carries a 10.1-inch touch screen at 1200×1920 pixel resolution, so a guest or a team member can see and tap what the robot is doing. Beside it, a color-changing indicator tape shows the robot's status at a glance, for example green while it is charging.
For voice, the 6-microphone ring array covers 360° with a 5m effective range. The robot hears a person standing at any side of it. Four modes cover the work: delivery, greeting, guidance and cruise. The same machine can carry a plate, welcome a party at the door, lead guests to their seats or simply patrol the venue.
Accessories let you tailor the robot to your menu. The list includes the Lucki-Button, a Sealed Food Protector, a Silicone Tray Mat, an Aluminum Alloy Tray, cup holders and a head cover.
Who is the OrionStar LuckiBot for?
Restaurant owners are the first group. A venue with a long walk between kitchen and tables, or a floor plan with several rooms, gains the most from a robot that carries dishes while the team serves guests. Cafés and hotel dining rooms with a steady flow of trays can use it in the same way.
Hotels and resorts form a second group. The greeting and guidance modes suit a lobby or a restaurant entrance, where a visitor can be welcomed and led to a table. Operators with several outlets can also use the multi-robot priority rule to place more than one unit in a single large venue.

It also greets and guides guests, and works alongside other Lucki robots without human help. The staff are left with the part of service that guests remember.
